International journalist, author and eldest son of Late Nigerian Human rights activist and author, Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, has been reported dead.
Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, was gathered to have died on Tuesday, 18th October, in Abuja which also was his base, after a short sickness.
Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, was born in Lagos, in the year 1968, he worked as a writer in residence at Massey College in the University of Toronto, a mentor at the Trudeau Foundation in Canada and a Columnist for the Toronto Globe and Mail where he was twice nominated for National Newspaper Awards for feature writing.
He was likewise selected by the World Economic Forum in 2005 as a Young Global Leader and was the Founding Curator of the Abuja Hub for the Globalshapers Programme of the World Economic Forum.
He also wrote for The Guardian in the UK, The Washington Post, New York Times and National Geographic.
In 2005, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, appointed him as his Special Adviser on peace, conflict resolution and reconciliation.
He served as the Special Assistant on International Affairs under Umaru Musa Yar'Adua/Goodluck Jonathan's administration.
He was indeed a hero and we pray that God grants him eternal rest and consoles his family.
